Overview

Job summary

Ensure daily customer requirements and carrier utilization plans are met with respect to performance and profitability.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Military account operational needs and resolve carrier/client issues
  • Accept/reject shipments based on profitability model
  • Build shipment in accordance with clients’ customer service requirements
  • Ensure load specifics match requested equipment type, pickup/delivery time, and transit time
  • Communicate shipping requirements in an accurate and timely manner
  • Communicate service related issues and resolutions
  • Work within multiple systems ensuring timely updates
  • Strive for continual process improvement
  • Maintain productive working relationships with customer representatives, motor carriers, and PLS employees
  • Other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

 

  • PC proficient (Microsoft Office preferred) organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of the basic principles of revenue, profit and loss
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Work experience in related field
